What a glorious Easter! We were able to enjoy the services at our new church building and we were overflowing with God's people! Not to mention, the Easter Egg hunt on Saturday was a BLAST! We had over 50 kids hunting eggs and playing with the Easter Bunny.
Now it is time to Go tell the story...God's Story!

Welcome to Our Blog!!!
Welcome members and visitors to our new blog! On our very first post, we would like to introduce our group. We are a home based Christian women's group who meets every other Tuesday for fellowship and study. Our group has been together since the fall of 2008 and has five regular members. We welcome all women in our congregation, Argyle United Methodist Church, and in the community of Argyle and surrounding area to join us!
This coming Tuesday, April 7 we will be starting a fascinating new study based on Liz Curtis Higgs' book, "Bad Girls of the Bible." Higgs offers a unique and clear-sighted approach to understanding those "other women" in Scripture, combining a contemporary retelling of their stories with a solid, verse-by-verse study of their mistakes and what lessons women today can learn from them. If you are interested in joining this study, please contact us at wbof@argyleumc.org.
Besides fellowship and study, our group is also actively becoming involved in service. The following are a couple of projects we are currently working on and ways you can help:

Besides fellowship and study, our group is also actively becoming involved in service. The following are a couple of projects we are currently working on and ways you can help:
- Children's Advocacy Center of Denton County Benefit Breakfast - we will be volunteering at the breakfast on the morning of April 9th on the campus of UNT. If you are interested in helping, email us for more details.
- UMCOR Flood Buckets - we will be coordinating the efforts of gathering 5 gallon buckets filled with specific cleaning supplies to be shipped to areas devastated by flood. We have not yet begun to collect items, but will release more information in the weeks to come.
We are very excited about the growth and development of our group and of its members. Again, please contact us if you are interested in joining!
